Family Fun Time!
Are you looking for a morning of fun and learning with your child? Good parenting is not easy but can lead to a lifetime of fulfillment for both parents and children. The Ohio State University Extension is again offering a series of six classes filled with fun and learning for all¼...the adults and children. We are focusing on children ages 3-10 years of age, but others are also welcome.
Parents and children will both learn better communication skills and parents will learn how to build self-esteem in their young child. The first hour the adults and children will be in separate classes. The children will learn through fun seasonal activities and character and asset building skills with Libby McNeal, Extension Coordinator and the adults will be with Rose Fisher Merkowitz, Extension Educator, learning more about raising their children. The second hour the adults and children will jointly participate in fun parent/child activities and of course, refreshments will be available.
The spring schedule follows:
Tuesday, March 8, 2010
Tuesday, March 22, 2010
Tuesday, April 5, 2010
Tuesday, April 12, 2010
Tuesday, April 19, 2010
Monday, May 10, 2010
These fun-filled sessions are free to Highland County residents. All sessions will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon in the Highland County Administration Building meeting room. If you are looking for a relaxing time with your family, this is tailored just for you. To assure we have enough supplies and refreshments for all the activities, you must R.S.V.P. by calling the OSU Extension office at 937-393-1918. If you have further questions, ask for Rose Fisher Merkowitz or Libby McNeal. Also, let us know if you have special needs and require special accommodations.
